Our Process

We provide you with the tools to create your dream kitchen. Whether you are a homeowner or a design professional, our trained staff will guide you through the process from start to finish.

Initial Brief

After making an appointment with one of our designers, the client will be invited to the Valcucine showroom. Here a detailed brief will be taken to establish your individual requirements in terms of the scope of works, aesthetics, functionality and level of investment. A full introduction to the Valcucine brand, programs and our process will be presented and discussed at this stage. Our designers will then engage in the design development and costing process, this will take approximately 2 weeks to complete. Your design fees will be deducted from your project cost, should you go ahead.  Alternatively, design costs will apply.

Presentation & Proposal

The client will be invited back to the showroom for the presentation meeting. Here the client will be presented with photo realistic renderings, detailed drawings & a cost proposal. After a comprehensive discussion of the project we hope that the client will have a clear understanding of our proposal and will be in a position to make an informed decision as to how to proceed.

Appointment

At this stage the client will either:
• Appoint Valcucine for the project by signing the drawings and paying the required deposit
• Require the drawings but not yet be in a position to make a full appointment. In such a case, a deposit of 60% of the project value will be requested. All drawings will be released and any iterations will be attended to by our designers and head installer. 
• Select not to appoint Valcucine

Site & Ordering

Full service drawings (gas, electrical & plumbing) will be issued to the relevant contractors on site. The order will be placed with our office in Italy. Lead time from date of order is 18 weeks. During this period our team will conduct site visits to ensure that the services are installed correctly and that all dimensions are correct. A provisional booking will be made for installation a minimum of 4 weeks in advance, a final site inspection will be conducted a week before installation to ensure site is ready.

Delivery & Installation

As soon as the goods arrive in Johannesburg it will be delivered to our warehouse where it will be stored until installation. Once site is ready, a further 35% payment is required and the goods will be delivered to site after which installation will commence. Installation will take approximately 2-4 weeks depending on the scope of works. As soon as the installation is complete a formal handover will be arranged with the client. After handover the final 5% balance is payable.
